FANTASY COFFINS FROM GHANA

Some people in western Ghana choose to be buried in Fantasy Coffins. For example, if you were a fisherman you would be buried in a fish. If you were a driver you would be buried in a car.

CAKE

This is a cake I made when I was an intern at Charm City Cakes. Sometimes its in the background when people are being interviewed on the TV show The Ace of Cakes. Look out for it if you watch the show.

ANIMALS

This is somewhere in Virginia. I had to draw these animals in my nature drawing class the other day.

SCREEN-PRINTS

These are old screen prints I made last year and the year before that.

MARDI GRAS INDIANS

Notice the Thunderbird this guy is drinking.

When I went to New Orleans I was there the same weekend as Super Sunday and I was lucky enough to see the Mardi Gras Indians. They make all of their suits over the course of the year with the help of their family and friends by sewing elaborate bead and feather work onto their costumes. These are some pictures I took while I was there. It was hard to choose which ones to show.
